The Way of Wealth Creation . . .
.
by Tim Redmond - the Leadership and Wealth Creation Coach

Every step of obedience is a step towards wealth creation.

A good friend and a minister I greatly respect, John Bevere, wrote a book years ago called The Fear of the Lord (I highly recommend reading it!)  This topic plays such an important role in my life.

I personally define the Fear of the Lord as being absolutely convinced that His way is always the best way. When we are deeply certain of this, obedience to God's way becomes our first response.

So what does wealth creation (i.e., the ability to produce value for others) have to do with obedience?

He teaches us to profit (Is 48:17). He shows us the path of life (Ps 16:11). Even the hard paths overflow with abundance (Ps 65:11). When you live His ways, your way will be prosperous and filled with good success (Josh 1:8).

Wealth follows obedience . . . to His Word and to what His Spirit is telling you.

With the focus on obedience, we don't just hear to know; rather, we hear to do. Our "doing" sets in motion the wealth creation process.

A few months ago, I had an invitation to speak at a conference in Ghana. Initially, I did not want to go to yet I believed that it was the way of obedience. I thought to myself, "God, where is the "wealth creation" in this path?" After obeying and looking back on the experience, I saw His hand of blessing. The great leaders I interacted with and was able to influence, the way my heart and vision was expanded through this experience, even the way my airline ticket was provided for (by a good friend of mine!) - wealth was clearly created in this experience.

Another thought: A life of obedience has as much to do with the "when" as it does with the "what" and "where" aspects of obedience. Even if you know the "what" and "where", don't rush the "when" - and, at the same time, don't procrastinate when you know it's time to take action.

Is there an "act of obedience" that is waiting for you to begin today? Let's take action!
