The Way of the Warrior. . .

.

by Tim Redmond - the Leadership and Wealth Creation Coach

Every Monday night I meet with a group of warriors in training . . .

It's a great time of connection with my sons Matthew (13), Robert (12) and their friends (some of the group is pictured here). We feed 'em, play hard with them and sit around and talk about the great warrior inside each of them (I'm creating a series of teachings with them called "The Way of the Warrior - A Study in Character Development").

Since we are created in the image and likeness of God and God identifies Himself in at least 3 scriptures as being a warrior, we are training them to release their "warrior drive" in ways that guards, protects and frees instead of destroying (unless it is something that should be destroyed!).

As warriors, one of the biggest deceptions we fall prey to is fighting the wrong battles - especially with the people God has called us to protect and develop.

Anytime we first go "outward" in JABbing (Judging, Accusing, and Blaming) instead of first going "inward," we weaken our warrior strength and hurt those we are to help. Going inward is drawing from the strength of our heart where the Holy Spirit talks to us and where the Kingdom of God is found.

Let's review the battles we're fighting. Are we fighting the right battles . . . in the right way? Weak warriors go "outward" first. Are we strong warriors going "inward" FIRST before we go "outward" with our interactions?

The people around you are crying out for your warrior strength. Let your leadership be felt today!
